Mario Vassallo: A Journey Behind the Lens

Mario discovered his passion for photography at a young age, drawn to the power of capturing moments in time. His journey began in 2015 when he bought his first semi-professional camera. Eager to learn, he took photography courses and sought mentorship from experienced photographers, building a strong foundation in various styles and techniques.

He started by photographing children’s portraits, developing a deep appreciation for candid moments. As his skills grew, so did his clientele, leading him to events and weddings. His ability to capture genuine emotion quickly earned him a reputation as a talented and reliable photographer.

Mario is a proud member of the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers (SWPP) and holds a Newborn Safety Guidelines & Assessment Certificate under the guidance of renowned photographer Kelly Brown. His dedication to professionalism and safety sets him apart.

In January 2024, he was honored as Wedding Photographer of the Year at a major photography conference in London, recognizing his outstanding work in 2023. The following year, he received a Merit in the 20×16 Print Competition at SWPP 2025, further solidifying his expertise.

With a deep passion for storytelling, Mario continues to create timeless images that capture life’s most meaningful moments.
